Visit to the Wisconsin Dells Deer Park

Classic picture of a deer sticking its tongue out. Sad to say the focus was on the grass though. It's still a great picture.

I got a few pictures of the deer up close trying to sniff my camera. I thought this was one of the best.

The weird raccoon thought it was important to stick its fingers under the board.

We then put a piece of cracker in the cage and he smashed it by pushing on it a lot. I believe there may have been something wrong with that raccoon. I made that conclusion after we watched it chase its tail for about five minutes.

I just entered this picture in the Clark County Photo Contest because it is my all time favorite! I hope to get a good response to it.

Everyone but me and my dad leaning over the railing to see the deer. From front to back; my grandma Rhonda, my cousin Taylor, and my mom Shawn.

One of the three little piglets at the deer park. I love the slant of this photo, I think it goes well with the subject.

Another of the three little pigs sniffing at the fence.

This was another post of unedited pictures took with my brand new camera. I will continue to be super happy with the products. :)

I just got a new camera and I was experimenting with how well auto focus works. These are just some of the pictures I took to give you an idea of how well it works. I say auto focus is a success.

Noah's Ark

Lacy running from the waves because the water was really cold.

Me getting splashed and right after this I had a really upset face because this was freezing.

Me and Lacy freezing in the Wave Pool.

I finally went all the way in the water and started to have a little more fun.

Lacy talking and freaking out about how cold the water was.

A cool picture of the water moving. I don't know how I got it but it's really cool.

The underwater camera takes really cool pictures, I love the bubbles and you can see my red hair good even under the water.

Lacy went underwater too and I love the bubbles in the water and it just looks really cool.

I had just let go of the zipline bar and fell into the water it looks really cool because the water is splashing and I am smiling.

This was after when it got sunny and warmer out. I love how the sun is super bright and you can see a little cloud floating around.

Portraits of me :/ and my friends and family :)

I like this picture because I'm not looking right at the camera and everything is really clear, the bunny's fur and whiskers are clear plus there is a hair across my face that is clear. I like the colors too they are all really bright and warm feeling.
Shutter: 1/320
Aperture: f/3.1
Focal Length: 6.3 mm
ISO: 64

I love this picture because of the bright colors and Lacey's facial expression. You can tell that she is having a lot of fun and she is really happy. The background is really blurry too from the merry-go-round spinning. Even though she made her face on purpose just for the camera it looks really interesting and funny.
Shutter: 1/250
Aperture: f/3.1
Focal Length: 6.3 mm
ISO: 100

This picture I think is pretty good even though I had to do a lot of editing. I love her facial expression, she was about to fall off and she got scared but I can't even imagine how she made that face. It's so weird I can't even believe I got this shot. When I started out the picture was really dark and I lightened it quite a bit until it looked better.
Shutter: 1/100
Aperture: f/7.8
Focal Length: 6.3 mm
ISO: 64

I got my dad blowing bubbles and he actually smiled which is kind of unusual so I had to get a picture, I wish I could have gotten some better pictures of him. I don't really like the background just because it's kind of busy with all the different things back there. It's still a good picture.
Shutter: 1/250
Aperture: f/3.1
Focal Length: 6.3 mm
ISO: 100

I love this picture the colors in the bubble are awesome and my mom looks like she is really focused on keeping the bubble there.
Shutter: 1/250
Aperture: f/4.2
Focal length: 11.2 mm
ISO: 100

The wind was blowing the bubble for me so I was waiting for it to stop. I thought the sun on my face looks cool. The blown out spot on my arm even looks good.
Shutter: 1/200
Aperture: f/3.4
Focal Length: 7.7 mm
ISO: 100

This picture is interesting because it's kind of unbalanced with me and two dogs on one side and one dog on the other. I really like how its not completely balanced like that.
Shutter: 1/80
Aperture: f/3.1
Focal Length: 6.3 mm

Patterns

The pattern in this picture is the fence, my favorite part is how the fence looks like it goes on forever.
Shutter: 1/400
Aperture: f/7.8
Focal Length: 6.3 mm
ISO: 1600

The pattern is the fern leaves, ferns are so cool because they are the same on both sides of the leaf I like leaves like that.
Shutter: 1/80
Aperture: f/3.1
Focal Length: 6.3 mm
ISO: 100

This picture reminds me of a picture you would find on the internet with the leaf really strong and in focus but the background sunny and blurry.
Shutter: 1/100
Aperture: f/3.1
Focal Length: 6.3 mm
ISO: 100

I took pictures of my dogs because when I think of patterns I think of the mask on their faces and how it is pretty much the same on both sides. In this picture there is a line down the middle of the page using her mask, her tongue, and the dog house.
Shutter: 1/100
Aperture: f/3.1
Focal Length: 6.3 mm
ISO: 400

This picture was hard to get because this dog doesn't like anything that you point at her and it makes a noise so cameras are under that long list. But the line goes perfectly down her face which is really cool.

Shutter: 1/100
Aperture: f/3.1
Focal Length: 6.3 mm
ISO: 400

In this picture my dog has a line going down her face also, the mask on her face is perfectly the same on both sides and I love the pattern.
Shutter: 1/80
Aperture: f/3.1
Focal Length: 6.3 mm
ISO: 200

Bubbles :)

We went outside and blew bubbles and we learned that if the subject is doing something they are less focused on how they look and more on what they are doing.

I chose this picture because everyone in the picture is in focus but the background is blurry.
Shutter: 1/320
Aperture: f/5.1
Focal Length: 15.7 mm
ISO: 64

I like this picture because it was after she blew the bubbles and the sun was shining on her face really nice.
Shutter: 1/320
Aperture: f/5.1
Focal Length: 15.7 mm
ISO: 64

I like this picture because the bubble is floating away but you can still see the fence and that is really cool in this picture.
Shutter: 1/800
Aperture: f/3.8
Focal Length: 9.4 mm
ISO: 64

I like this picture because of how happy Brooke looks and the sun is shining on her face perfectly to reflect her happiness.
Shutter: 1/400
Aperture: f/5.1
Focal Length: 15.7 mm
ISO: 64

I like this picture because the bubbles are on the other side of Dana and the shadows on her sweater are really interesting.
Shutter: 1/320
Aperture: f/5.1
Focal Length: 15.7 mm
ISO: 64

Derivative

Our assignment was to copy an idea of another photographer. The photographer I chose was Kevin Irby because he has such unique ideas.

The first picture is the picture I tried to copy and the second picture is the picture I made. I think they are some what close to the same. I know the dress is not the same and the books are different but I think they have the same idea. My model didn't want to work with me either and kept telling me what to do so it's not as good as it could be.
