CD

Our assignment was to design a CD front cover, inside cover, and back cover for a specific genre of music. I got the genre classical and this is the CD I came up with.

CD Front Cover
I really like the front cover I made the background picture has a filter on it and it is so pretty how the tail and fur look like they were painted. I wish the words weren't so thin but there wasn't much I could do to fix it.

CD Inside Cover
I had a little trouble finding places to put the pictures and the album name and artist name. I really like the subjects in each picture.

CD Back Cover
I absolutely love the back cover all the colors kind of blend but enough that you can still read what it says. The dry brush affect really helps smooth the picture out.

Warmth

This post is what I think of when I hear the word warmth.

I think of bright shining sun on my face.
I love how the sun makes all the trees in front of it black.
Shutter: 1/500
Aperture: f/7.8
Focal Length: 6.3 mm
ISO: 64

I think of wearing sandals every day, standing on my deck looking down at the pond.
Shutter: 1/640
Aperture: f/7.8
Focal Length: 6.3 mm
ISO: 1600

I think of swimming and playing with my fun loving puppies.
I was really experimenting with cutting the heads off it gives it a different perspective. If you could see her other eye it would make you feel different.
Shutter: 1/320
Aperture: f/7.8
Focal Length: 6.3 mm
ISO: 800

I think of taking long walks with my beautiful puppies.
I love this picture because you can see the muscles of the dogs and they are all repeated curved lines. I think this is a great way to get a different point of view.
Shutter: 1/320
Aperture: f/3.4
Focal Length: 7.7 mm
ISO: 100

In this picture I love the movement of water made by her foot.
Shutter: 1/160
Aperture: f/3.4
Focal Length: 7.7 mm
ISO: 100

A couple weeks ago my dog got into a fight and her tooth got knocked out of place it still hasn't fallen out. I this picture you can see the tooth under her lip that's why her lip is funny shaped.
Shutter: 1/125
Aperture: f/3.4
Focal Length: 7.7 mm
ISO: 100

In this picture I like how the head is cut off it gives it an interesting point of view.
Shutter: 1/80
Aperture: f/3.4
Focal Length: 7.7 mm
ISO: 100

I like how she is looking at me in an unusual way and you can see both of her eyes.

Favorite Pictures

I am reposting a couple pictures because these are my favorite!

This is my animal morph and it was required to be put as one of our favorites but I do love how good this picture turned out.
Picture of Me -
Shutter: 1/8
Aperture: f/3.5
Focal Length: 6.3 mm
ISO: 800

Picture of My Dog -
Shutter: 1/160
Aperture: f/3.1
Focal Length: 6.3 mm
ISO: 64

This is my favorite picture out of our ice post. I like the reflection in the corner and how the ice separates the picture. It kind of splits it in half.
Shutter: 1/60
Aperture: f/4.2
Focal Length: 11.2 mm
ISO: 200

I love this picture because her eyes just shine and her fur is very crisp. I wish the blanket wouldn't have gotten in the way but still this picture is beautiful!
Shutter: 1/100
Aperture: f/5.6
Focal Length: 18.9 mm
ISO: 100

Ice

This picture I took in my back yard of a little frozen puddle at the top of a pile of mud. I like how clear the ice is and then I also like the leaves and how good they stand out.
Shutter: 1/100
Aperture: f/3.1
Focal Length: 6.3 mm
ISO: 200

This picture I like how the ice makes a line down the middle of the picture. Another thing I like is how clear the bubbles under the ice are. They look really pretty.
Shutter: 1/60
Aperture: f/4.2
Focal Length: 11.2 mm
ISO: 200

This is a picture of two chunks of ice on my deck. I think the interesting shapes of the ice are really interesting.
Shutter: 1/100
Aperture: f/4.2
Focal Length: 11.2 mm
ISO: 200

This is one of my favorite pictures just because I love how the ice is bumpy and the black and white really brings out the shadows and some snow here and there.
Shutter: 1/80
Aperture: f/4.2
Focal Length: 11.2 mm
ISO: 200

This is a picture of a little path of melting snow, water was flowing through this until it froze. I like how you can see all the ripples as if the water was frozen instantly.
Shutter: 1/125
Aperture: f/3.8
Focal Length: 9.4 mm
ISO: 100

This is a puddle of murky water and I like how there is snow next to it because to me it is the transition between freezing and melting.
Shutter: 1/80
Aperture: f/3.8
Focal Length: 9.4 mm
ISO: 100

Random Pictures

I just wanted to make another post for a bunch of random pictures that I fond that I meant to post but never got to it.

This is a picture of a pile of logs next to our fireplace. I like the texture of the logs in this picture.

This is a picture of a couple trees and a really pretty sky. I love how you can see the sun coming through the clouds. It was way prettier in person.

I absolutely love this picture. It makes me feel like an actual photographer. My puppy's eyes are so pretty in this picture and the way the sun hits her fur is just amazing.

I like this picture because the light on the lens of the camera gives a cool affect. It makes the plant really bright.

I like how the light in this picture is really sharp the color of the glass is really cool too.

This is a picture of an icicle on the roof. I like how it's kind of misty on the roof but that might be because I dropped my camera in the snow before taking this picture.

I love the color of the plant in this picture and the way the pot color turned out. I just wish the dead leaf wasn't in the picture.

I like how the sun makes everything darker and the tracks are really distinguished. In the background you can see some trees too and I like that.

Photographers Report

Thomas Hallstein

Even though I couldn’t find a lot of information about Thomas Hallstein I really like his work. He takes a lot of pictures of nature and landscapes, and those are my favorite subjects.  his pictures lighting is everything, lots of the pictures are of landscapes with sunsets and sunrises. His pictures give me a sense of happiness or peacefulness. The first picture I found is of water falling off a tree. This picture makes me feel calm and peaceful, I love the colors and how bright the green is. Plus I like how the water hits the rocks and it makes me wonder where the water is coming from. Is it raining out or is it a natural waterfall?

The second picture I found is of a tree in the fall. I love the colors, they are so bright and there are leaves everywhere in the picture. This picture makes me feel happy; the colors just put a smile on my face. I think how the tree is sideways really helps with the composition. It’s interesting how the tree goes from top right to bottom left. This picture makes me ask is the hill tilted or is the camera tilted? Another question I have is where is Thomas? Is he in Wisconsin or North Dakota? If there was a caption on the picture it might help to add more information.

There’s another picture that I really liked. It’s called “Between Heaven and Earth.” It looks like there’s land in the sky. There’s clouds and blue all around the land. I don’t understand how he took that picture but I love it! It’s a really peaceful picture but it makes me automatically ask questions like where was it taken? How did he take it? Why does it look the way it does? All of Thomas Hallsteins’ pictures make me ask questions. They are all wonderful though.

I really like these pictures and I chose three because I liked all three and couldn't pick just two.

Animal Morph

Our assignment was to morph a picture of ourselves and a picture of an animal. So I did a picture of me and a picture of my dog Honey.

I really like how it turned out. The eyes look like they belong but the mouth is a little weird. Maybe if I wasn't smiling it would have worked better.

Just for Fun

My friend Lacey came over to my house and I just thought these pictures were funny so I thought I would post them.

Lacey didn't like that I was taking pictures of her.

She started to tell me why I shouldn't take pictures of her.

Then she pretended to be sleeping...
